Our Muse
Patricia is the heart and inspiration behind our candle line, a tribute to her timeless elegance and love of fragrance. Wife to our Master Perfumer and mom to two boys, Patricia was known for her classic beauty, old-school values, and radiant positivity. Born in Mexico with French heritage, she had a worldly charm and left a meaningful impact on everyone she met. We hope our candles do that too.
Bernhard Winkler
The Master Perfumer
Bernhard, the creative force behind Atelier Candela's fragrances, is a world-renowned Master Perfumer with a rich and diverse background. Born to a Swedish mother and a German father, he studied Chemistry and earned a doctorate in Chemical Engineering in Germany. His passion for fragrance began during his early days at the prestigious perfume house H&R in Holzminden (now Symrise). Inspired by his herbalist grandfather and early exposure to natural scents, Bernhard refined his craft under a legendary Maitre Parfumeur in Cannes, France. Over the decades, he created fragrances in global hubs such as Cologne, Geneva, Paris, London, and Hong Kong, blending cultural, culinary, and fashion influences into his work. With decades of experience and an enduring passion for creativity, Bernhard continues to craft exquisite scents that captivate and inspire.
Sven Winkler
The Catalyst
Sven Winkler, founder of Atelier Candela, created the company in memory of his mother, whose love for beauty and fragrance inspired him. Growing up in England, Switzerland, Mexico, and California, Sven developed a deep appreciation for scents, shaped by his grandfather, a European herbalist, and his father, a master perfumer. Atelier Candela’s high-end candles reflect Sven’s passion for crafting fragrances that honor his mother’s legacy and bring inspiration to others.
